Wisconsin Eminent Domain and property Rights law firm
Attorney Erik Olsen graduated University of Wisconsin-Madison Law School with honors (cum laude) in 2005. After graduation, he started his legal career practicing law and discovered a passion for protecting private property rights which inspired him to found Eminent Domain Services, LLC.
Erik has taken three cases to the Wisconsin Supreme Court, creating important precedent to protect landowners. Erik has brought one case to the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals defending a landowner for a taking for the Foxconn project. Erik has tried many cases to jury trials, court trials, and condemnation commissions throughout the state of Wisconsin with an incredible amount of success.
As a lawyer, Erik has spent thousands of hours informing Wisconsin citizens about what eminent domain means to them, researching eminent domain, and litigating eminent domain cases. Throughout this time he has made it a point to visit people's land, and sit with them to understand their specific concerns and viewpoints. This has created a long history of happy clients. Erik's practice has been highlighted by a concern for the public good.
Since graduating from UW law school in 2011, Andrew has focused his practice on eminent domain and land rights issues. Andrew has been recognized for his efforts in being named a 2015 Up and Coming Lawyer by the Wisconsin Law Journal and a Rising Star in the Eminent Domain field for 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 by Thompson Reuters.
Originally, Andrew came to Madison to attend the University of Wisconsin for his undergraduate studies. While at UW, Andrew double majored in political science and legal studies. In addition, Andrew played football for the Badgers. As a member of the offensive line, Andrew appeared in 28 games while earning three varsity letters. Andrew enjoyed living in Wisconsin so much during undergrad that he remained in Madison to attend law school. Now he resides in Middleton with his wife Molly and son George.
